HERDING RAMS
All of our herding rams (used for breeding) come from the Virginia Tech Ram Lamb Performance Test program. This program brings rams from farms all over the east and tests them for parasite resistance while gathering information about their growth and carcass data. The test takes place over the summer and if a ram becomes too infected with parasites they are culled from the test. At the end of the test the top 1/3rd of the rams tested are auctioned.
I'm happy that I've been buying my herd rams for the last three years there, and I’m noticing significant gains in my flocks overall resistance.
